Privacy policy

What we do not collect

• No accounts, logins or passwords. There is nothing to sign up for.
• No payment information. We do not sell anything and take no payments.
• No newsletter list at present, so no email address is stored for marketing.
• No advertising network trackers or retargeting pixels.

What we do collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read and which buy links get clicked. It records the usual aggregate web analytics: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, referring site, and events such as an outbound buy-link click.

We do not use it to identify individuals and we do not combine it with any other data. Google processes this data under its own terms, described in the Google privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or with any content blocker.

The contact form

If you send a message we receive your name, email address, chosen subject and message. It is used only to reply. We do not add it to a mailing list and we do not pass it to anyone.

The form carries a hidden field and a load timestamp for spam filtering, and the server keeps a short-lived in-memory count of submissions per IP address to rate-limit automated posting. Neither is retained beyond an hour and neither is used for any other purpose.

Server logs

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs including IP address and user agent, as any web host does. We do not use them for analytics.

Affiliate links

Buy links on this site go through an on-site redirect at /go/ and then to Amazon with our tracking tag attached. Amazon may set cookies on its own site when you arrive, which is how a qualifying purchase is attributed to us. That happens under the Amazon privacy terms, not ours, and we receive no information about you from it, only aggregate reports of whether qualifying purchases occurred.

Cookies

Wickcraft Co sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own; blocking them does not affect the site, which is readable entirely without JavaScript.

Product images

Product photographs are served from the Amazon content delivery network. Loading them makes a request to Amazon, as any externally hosted image does.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold. In practice the only personal information we hold is the content of any message you have sent us. To ask about it, or to have it deleted, email info@wickcraftco.com.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top and note the change here.
